This applies to printers in the Jefferson Building.
Use Secure Print to print sensitive or confidential information. After you send the job, it is held at the printer until you enter your passcode at the printer control panel. Ricoh called Secure Print Locked Print.
To print using Locked Print:
- Click on the File tab and scroll down to Print
- Choose the Black & White printer (e.x.: JEFF-3263-1-BW) under the Printer drop down.
- Click on Printer Properties
- When the Ricoh Printer Properties Dialogue box opens, click the drop down under Job Type and choose Locked Print.
- Click the Details… button next to Locked Print
- Choose Windows Login Name from the User ID drop down. Enter a password in the Password: box and Click OK
- Make other selections for the print job as needed and Click OK.
- To send the job to the printer, in the Print window, select the number of copies to print, then click OK or Print.
Make Secure Print Your Default Printer Setting:
If you would like to set your printer up to always use Locke Print by default, follow the next few steps.
- Left Click the Start Button
and start typing Printers.
- Choose Printers & Scanners
- Click on the Black & White Printer (example: JEFF-3263-1-BW) and choose Manage.
- Click on Printing Preferences
- When the Ricoh Printing Properties Dialogue box opens, click the drop down under Job Type and choose Locked Print.
- Click the Details… button next to Locked Print
- Choose Windows Login Name from the User ID drop down. Enter a password in the Password: box and Click OK
- Click OK.
- Now your printer will always default to Printing to the Secure Print Queue.
