User Defined Tasks
UDTs have been used in the past for agency policy reviews. The UDT does not exist in the upgraded Washington State Learning Center. This job aid shows you how to replicate that functionality in the upgraded application.
Create Knowledge Document (if you use a URL for the policy review)

- Click on Admin Tab
- Click on Learning Management
- Click on Activity Management
- Click on Learning Activities
- Click on New Activity
- Select Document (this will open a new page)
- Input a Name
- Verify the Activity type is Document
- Either input a new Code or accept the code that is provided
- Click the Optional button (this will open a new page)
- Click Status which is under the Configure general properties for your activity sub menu (this will open a new page)
- Select the checkbox for Active
- Select the checkbox for No Registration Required
- Select the checkbox for Can be subscribed
- Set the Status to Active in the drop down
- Click OK (this will return you to the Optional Settings (or properties) page)
- Click General under the Web Based Training sub menu (this will open a new page)
- Verify the Launch method is set to Knowledge Document
- Input the URL you are using for the review
- Select No registration required
- Select Disable the Maximum Attempts reached Notification if the user previously passed the activity
- Select Show the Progress Details page when users close an online activity
- Select Show interaction details to users on Progress Details page
- Select Can launch on Mobile app
Under Online Content Relaunch/Review section
- Select Allow user to launch online content after they have completed it. (Note: Allowing users to launch completed activities creates a new attempt and allows the learner to start from the beginning. This option only applies to activities with “No Registration Required” selected)
- Select Allow user to review online content after they have completed it. (Note: Allowing users to review completed activities doesn’t overwrite their previous completion data. In review mode there are no interactions between content and the Learn system)
Under Content Player Settings
- Select Open content player window in full screen mode
- Select Disable scrollbars for content player window (Vertical & Horizontal)
- Click OK (this will return to the Optional Settings page)
