DESCRIPTION: An audience is a powerful tool to filter users based on criteria. With appropriate permissions, you can define these criteria using Rules or Rule Sets. Rule Sets consist of one of more Rules that define the members of an audience. This rule-based architecture enables administrators to define sets of users based on criterial such as their domains, jobs, organizations, status, managers, duration in a job or organization, and preferred language.
- Click on the Admin tab
- Click on the word Administration
- Click on Audiences
- Click New
- Enter the audience Name
- Enter a unique Code for the audience.
- Click Browse to assign or modify the audience’s Primary Domain.
- Enter a brief Description.
- Select Active so administrators can use the audience (for example, when defining audiences for a learning activity) and users can be associated with it.
- Click the Radio Button next to Rule Set
- Click the Blue Arrow
- Determine the rule set(s) you wish to use. Your Options are:
- All Users
- User has completed learning activities where the completion date is
- User has completed learning activities
- User has expired on learning activities
- User has failed learning activities
- User has not completed learning activities where the completion date is…

- User has not expired on learning activities

- Click OK.
- If necessary, add more rules to this rule set to define the audience members.
- (Optional) Click Refresh to update the audience list.
People can be constantly added or removed form an audience, but the system does not immediately revise the list. This update task runs once daily and by default this happens at night. You can refresh an audience immediately to reflect the current members.
