As an employee with DES, you are eligible to use The Microsoft Home Use Program.
Home Use Program is a Software Assurance benefit available to Microsoft volume licensing customers with active Software Assurance coverage on their Office applications. Employees who use the covered licenses at work are eligible to purchase these Office applications for use on a personal device during the term of their employment.
Eligible employees are allowed to purchase a single license of each product available according to the terms of their organization’s Software Assurance benefit.
How to utilize the Microsoft Home Use Program.
- Click this link: http://microsoft.com/home-use-program.
- Enter your work email address in the box and click Get Started. The box below will pop up.
- You will receive an email from Microsoft (microsoft-noreply@microsoft.com).
- Forward the email from Microsoft to your home/personal email address.
- On your Home PC, click on the email and then click on the box that says "Sign in and shop"
- You will be prompted to create a personal Microsoft account. Create the account with your personal email address and create a password.
- After you log in, you will see the page showing the discount for Office 0365 - 30% discount savings page. You can now purchase for your home use.
