How Do I Change My Bitlocker PIN?

When you receive a new laptop, you will need to set a new Bitlocker password. If you forget
the password, you can call DES IT Support and get a temporary recovery key, which will allow
you to log in to the laptop and reset the Bitlocker password to something new.

1. Click on the Start button and start typing BitLocker. Click on Manage Bitlocker.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Change PIN.
   
   
   
   
3. Enter the Old PIN, enter a New Pin, Confirm the New Pin and click Change PIN. Your PIN must contain 8 – 20 letters and numbers (at least one of each) but it does not need Uppercase letters. Do not use any special characters.
   
   

4. Click Close when done.
