Join a Zoom meeting from a Meeting Invite

  1. Locate the meeting invite link from your email or calendar invitation.

  2. Click the join link to join the meeting.
    On your web browser, a pop-up window will prompt you to open or download the application.

  3. In the pop-up window, click Cancel.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click join from your browser. You will be directed to a new page.

  5. Click Allow to allow Zoom permission for your microphone and camera.

  6. Sign in with your name to join the meeting.
    (Optional) Select the Remember my name for future meetings check box.



  7. When you're ready, click the Join button.

  8. This will bring you into the meeting. If there is a Waiting Room, you will receive a message stating "We'll notify the meeting organizer that you're there, and someone in the meeting can then admit you".

 

Join a Zoom meeting from a Browser (you will need the meeting ID and passcode)

  1. In your web browser, go to zoom.us/join.
    1. Enter the meeting ID provided by the host/organizer.
    2. Click Join

  2. A pop-up window will prompt you to open or download the application. Click Cancel in the pop-up window, then click the Join from Your Browser link.
    Note: You are not required to download Zoom before joining, but you will have access to limited functionality if you join from your browser.

  3. If prompted, allow Zoom to use your microphone and camera.

  4. Enter a display name, then click Join.
    (Optional) Select the Remember my name for future meetings check box.

  5. If prompted, enter a meeting passcode, then click Join again.
    You will join the meeting as a guest.

Join Zoom Meeting from the Zoom Client (installed on your PC)

  1. Launch the Zoom client from your computer.

  2. From the Zoom Cloud Meetings box, choose Join a Meeting. Do not choose Sign In because you will not have an account to sign in with.

  3. Enter the information in the "Join Meeting" box.
    1. Enter the Meeting ID from the Meeting Invite you received.
    2. Enter your Display name.
    3. Check the box to "Remember my name for future meetings".
    4. Click Join

  4. You will now be in the meeting and see all of the normal controls at the bottom of the window.

Join Zoom Meeting from a Mobile Device

  1. Open the Zoom app on your mobile device.

  2. You will be prompted with this screen.

  3. Click Join Meeting.

  4. On the next screen, you will be asked for the Meeting ID and to enter your name. Once you have entered both, click Join.

  5. You will be prompted for the passcode. The passcode can be found in the meeting invitation. Enter the passcode and hit continue.

  6. You will be prompted with three more popups.
      • Choose Wifi or Cellular Data to use the Zoom app for audio.
      • Click OK to allow Zoom to use your mobile device microphone.
      • Choose Allow to receive Zoom notifications on your mobile device.
